loosened thoughts

Ninety days of vacation/travel/time away from home/out of the usual routine since June 2014 loosened my thoughts and made me feel clever.  Having been returned for 90 days now (with a side trip to Santa Fe), however, it is more difficult to feel  creative.  I did have a rather nice moment in the studio yesterday, though.  The kiln was loaded and firing, ceramics and paintings loaded and ready for the March show, I found myself singing along with "Crazy Bout an Automobile" from Ry Cooder's Borderline album.

Frames and Fruit

Here are the smaller frames for the march show; routed, mitred, glued, nailed, sanded and stacked on the work table in the courtyard; surmounted by "Woman Bearing Fruit" - my favorite from the series made in December.  (sentence structure impressionism.).

Waiting for the fire

Here are some little blind piggies waiting for the fire.

Here is a new mug design motif for the spring.
